about

half marathon was originally a poem i wrote during my freshman or sophomore year of college about feeling kind of hopeless but still going. i don't actually ever run anymore and i've never run a half marathon but dealing with poor mental health is honestly as exhausting as running for me so that's where the imagery and the title came from. the feeling of knowing i'll make it despite how hard it might be or how long it might take also reminds me of how i felt when i used to run longer distances (lol). i turned it into a song probably a year and a half or so ago and i'm honored to have this song about me trying my best included on this comp
